Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has hailed Mohamed Salah with the Egyptian winger on the cusp of scoring his 200th goal for the club. The Reds take on Sheffield United away tomorrow night looking to keep the pressure on Arsenal.

Liverpool head into the match with huge momentum following their last-minute turnaround against Fulham at Anfield in the "Premier" lyga, with Trent Alexander-Arnold scoring right at the death.

Salah was not on the scoresheet as his wait for his 200th Liverpool goal, but he could reach the milestone when the Reds travel to Bramall Lane to take on Sheffield United, who have just re-appointed Chris Wilder as manager.

And Klopp reserved special praise for his winger ahead of the potential record-breaking goal. During his press conference today, the German said: « He is right up there. A player with his numbers, I’m not sure I will ever coach again.

« His development as a man is incredible and very impressive, as a player as well. All-time great, without a shadow of doubt. »

Klopp’s comments come amid continued links to a move to Saudi Arabia for Salah, with the Egyptian having been the subject of a failed £150million bid from Al-Ittihad.

His name will grab the headlines once again in the January transfer window, as Saudi Arabian clubs tempt to force Liverpool’s hand with an eye-watering transfer sum. But full focus for now is on Liverpool’s "Premier" lyga title campaign.

Liverpool’s last-gasp victory over Fulham at Anfield has kept them two points behind leaders Arsenal after 14 games, and Klopp will be desperate to keep up the momentum.

The Reds sit one point above dominant force Man City, who have drawn three on the bounce. But despite talk of a title bid, Klopp isn’t keen to get involved in the discussion for now.

« Our late winner is very important. We can take a lot of things from the game, but we could have done better. I don’t think for a second about where we could end up. I have no clue where we will be in April. We can’t think ahead of the next game. »
